Merry New Year to all!

So I was just Sno Sealing some new leather work gloves and I said to myself, “self how many uses does this great product have?” I use it on gloves, boots, canvas products.... pancakes?

What am I missing?

I've used it to restore stacked leather knife handles. Works great.

I dabble in leather work and also use it to treat any new leather item. Gives a great finish and adds a lot of toughness and weather resistance.

I put some on the unfinished beechwood handle of a 4 1/2" Russell Green River #2212 sheath knife. Melted in several coats. I may try it on my mustache.

I love Sno-Seal, I use it on my leather work boots and it does a great job keeping moisture out. I wonder if you could make a candle out of it:D?

Scabbards and sheaths? Once a year I like to apply a coat of the stuff to my leather goods. That reminds me, now's a good time as any.

Be careful using it on leather boots that actually have threading or stitches, it can make them disintegrate or rot.
The only thing I use on my leather boots is silicone spray or camp dry.

Yes, it can be a problem if your boots have soles that are glued on. I had a pair of Vasque boots delaminate, and I sent them back to be resoled. The new soles fell off not long after I got them back, so I returned them again. The second time they asked what waterproofer I used. When I told them I used sno seal, they told me that I had voided the warranty and they would not repair the boots again. That was the last pair of Vasque boots that I will ever buy - there was nothing that came with the boots or on their website that said sno seal voided the warranty. I guess it was their dirty secret.

That was a shame. Sno Seal is great stuff, but It's a double-edged sword (pun intended) It's also a beatch when you have to learn the hard way.

At work they buy us cheap leather work gloves.Every once in a while you get a pair that are nicer then the rest.Got a pair Sno-Sealed them couple weeks they fell apart at the seams

I wonder if Sno-Seal has some sort of solvent in it that would attack the glued-on soles. I've never left a bit out in the open air to see if it flashes off and hardens on its own.

According to the MSDS, Sno Seal is wax (at least 65%) with mineral spirits (up to 35%). So the answer is yes, it has a lot of mineral spirits.
