Just got my hands on my first Snody from a trade, a 10V cleaver shank. I'm psyched on this blade; real nice and thick, 10V steel, ray skin wrap, and distinctive Snody grind. Ballin. Can't wait to see what this knife can do.

Can someone give me the heads up on these shanks? Are they simply basic knives that are sold for less due to lower manufacturing costs?

these where sold as shankkits for you to put your own finish on and also get a great snodymodel cutting steel cpm 10v bg42 ats-54 etc sometimes with handlematerial g-10 or CF included for a great price 50-100$ instead of a finished model of 600-800$
yours was also done in a kiridashi patern, mine's still not finshed but getting there :)
snodyknives are great glad to see you found them:D:thumbup:
