Snow and a AD

I picked up a Muddy AD from Skunk, thanks Skunk:thumbup:

So I took the AD on a little grouse hunting trip on Saturday and stopped by the deer stand for a quick photo.

The walking was a challenging, and I didn't see a thing except a couple chickadees and a lot of snow, average depth was just below the knee but I found a couple waist deep spots. Note to self, buy snowshoes.

As for the AD, I was pleasantly surprised. All I need to do is find the right discrete carry sheath and I'll have a new edc fixed blade.:D

Was the deer a fresh kill? Should have dressed it if it was fresh... Most time when I find a kill someone left odds are they won't be back

It was tagged, so I'm sure they'll be back for it. The area it was dragged from was really thick and tight and from the spot the deer is at to the road is still about a quarter mile or better, so my guess is the person got sick of dragging the deer and went to get a four wheeler.

:eek: Didn't think of that, I had a gift looking me in the face with a chance to use my AD on game and past it up.:o On the other hand with my luck I'd be cutting out the backstraps and the guy who tagged it would walk up making for a uncomfortable moment.

Helle: Nice shooting from your stand, looks like spots here in the east, A Man who tagged and covered his loins is definately interested in comming back for his kill, smart sportsmenlike move on your part. Nice A/D, Happy new year, pleasant post as I have Had bad hits in Pa, Ny. and Ct. turn into traciknfests only to find that some (%?@#*&^%) STOLE YOUR KILL! GUT IT OUT MAYBE, odds are if it was covered and tagged it was dressed or fresh, waiting on a Quad or help Dragging! Steal The loins What a douchbag! Shoot your own!!! Happy New year Nonetheless!
 
I dont know about northern Florida....But there aint no snow or deer in my area(Miami) except for Key Deer and they are protected I think.
