I just purchased these Snow and Neally items.
A broad axe, 2 draw knives, and a froe. They have never been used. Quality tools. My plans are to use them. Should I use them, or are they something I should not use. any help
Would be appreciated.
I’ll attach pics once I figure out how.

You should use them. Even if I could come up with a reason not to, I would not agree with the argument.

I bet there are forum members that can trade you very good user tools, so NOS (museum quality) items could be preserved

Well, as strong as they may be, they are also potentially special and in rare condition.
In which case there's nothing to be gained from using them. We'll all only lose some like new condition tools. Which are increasingly difficult to find.
I have many, many Snow and Neally tools. And would be more than happy to work out a fair trade by which you send me the unused ones where they will be kept, maintained and enjoyed here with me in my collection. And I can send you some excellent users from the same company.
I'm happy to discuss that with you further!

Thanks, but I can just pick up other used tools. But that means they can sought after. It sounds like you collect them. Would you mind sharing information on them. How to identify different ages. And how to store them. I noticed rust starting on the cutting edge.

Great to hear, you've decided to preserve history!!!
