We have been snow bound since the 22nd. It never snows in Washington but we have 32 inches over 5 inches of ice which was fine. The car is buried Have actually enjoyed it as it is so rare at this level. Until I got the e-mail notice that my brand spankin new BK2 is waiting to be picked up at the post office. Now cabin fever has set in, talk about frustrating. First I can not get a Becker Brute and now my Companion it is stuck miles away all alone with nothing to cut, stab, hack or pry

dude.. brave the weather for your campanion. The pioneers did it! haha. And if you get stuck on your way back, you have one heck of a survival knife that might help you... survive ;)

:DSnow shoes would be the way to go, hell I might crawl to the post office. My PO is 150 yards away;)

Yep it is especially for around here. The whole state is getting record snow but ours is over the top. Still we are all good have enough supplies to last months if need be. Cept smokes. If we run out of food there is lots of game. If we get really hungry we have turkeys and three big dogs. Thanks for the thoughts

We got over 60 inches here in Spokane since December and tonight it went above freezing, so there's leaking and flooding. Warmer climates are beginning to appeal.

lol.. "Dog is a fine meal"
Turkeys go first, but I am not above finding out about dog. Though to be honest I really prefer not to eat anything I have named. Especially since I like my dogs more than most people. Which is why I live in the sticks.

But the need has passed for now. The weather warmed up, now the state is all under water. Several cities are being evacuated due to a 24 hour non stop down pour that is still going strong n. All roads into the western Washington are now officially closed. Either because of avalanche or flooding.

I'll have to post a pic of the farm down below that has salmon in the cow pasture. The last segment of my driveway is now almost 28 inches under water ( I know this because my inseam is 29 inches ) and at 800 feet we are on the high ground. Which explains the 32 inches of snow, now the rain and subsequent snow melt is to much for the five foot deep drainage ditch along the road so our drive way flooded.

I should have taken pics of the snow as this sounds way to bizarre for Western Washington. As it is all I have is some from the first two days of snow 12/19 and 12/21
Regardless as of 1:45 yesterday we broke free, even though there were spots that had four five inches of ice left.

Guess where the first place I stopped off at was? Yep it sure was and I'll post my impressions later on we did not get home until 3 AM as we hit the casino to gorge on king crab and play some slots, that ended up paying for the evening. So I had no time to play with her yet. Thanks for your thoughts folks

That's crazy. Glad to read you're okay, have your BK-2, didn't have to eat your pets, and paid for your meal with gambling proceeds.

28" of water in the driveway? That's nuts! Or within an inch of 'em... :D

Hey Longrider.....

Glad you are not freezing to death.....Now I am worrying about your demise by drowning......I talked to Steve Dick yesterday and he was pretty graphic about everything in your neighborhood going downstream......Hope you guys don't sustain much damage !!!!!....I do hope your CAMPANION works well for you and I am looking forward to getting your impressions ....Stay dry......

All Best....
