Snow day

I think it might be that white stuff in Skunky's pics? Don't know though.
 
An ice storm here yesterday is what kept me home most of the day. They are calling for more ice again tonight as well.
 
We got 4" of the white stuff, then a nice 3/4" of ice on top. Fun to walk thru!!!!

Crap to shovel though....

Yeah, kept me home from work too....LMAO....
 
Between yesterday morning and as of right now we've got between 8 and 10 inches.

And as I look out the window from my nice warm bedroom, its looks like a cold, windy mofo out there :eek:
 
saves on refer space, just stick the beer outside, sometimes i have to bring a couple in at a time to let the next one thaw.:)
 
Second day off for me, today is for about 1/2" of ice. I'm surprised we're off, but sure won't complain. Here's looking for a third :)
 
Snow Day?!? You guys get the day off for snow and ice?:confused::eek:

lol!!! YOu should see what happens here when we get some ice!:eek: It doesnt happen all that often but when it does....BAM!! We had ice only on the overpasses and had a 14 car pileup in one area and about a dozen or so other major accidents all over town. These people down here really dont know how to drive on ice! Heck they go skidding all over in the rain!:grumpy:

We do make up for it in the Summer though, so dont get jealous, between the humidity and the insane temps its a miserable place to live in July and August. 111 last summer for several days and 75% humidity, the word sweat gains a whole new meaning!:barf:
 
Got the day off but we've just got ice and freezing rain in central SC. Giant oak and pine limbs crashing down on cars and houses and blocking the streets. We are one of the few who have power. I've been out back with a chainsaw and my Battle Rat clearing up some of the damage. Yesterday I walked a mile down to the bar and stumbled back after a few dark beers. No street lights, traffic signals or house lights on the way back. All of the ice looked kinda nice in the headlights of passing cars.
 
The nice part of getting snow days....I still get payed for the day!!!One of the fringe benifits of not getting prevailing wage...:D
