Snow Gaiters?

I'm looking for a good pair of snow gaiters to give as a Christmas gift. They will be for a friend who hikes/climbs in the back country to get to his preferred ski spots. I'd like to spend under $50, with $60 being the absolute upper limit. Will that get me a good pair? What would you recommend?

Thanks, I have indeed been overwhelmed from surfing around REI and other sites. That's why I was hoping for some suggestions for what is actually a good product for an affordable price.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Anything Campmor carries has always been good in my experience, and usually better prices.

Outdoor Research is your one stop source.

Their gaiters fit the widest variety of footwear- ski boots, hiking boots, combat boots, mountaineering boots, etc.

I'm partial to the OR Crocodiles, but YMMV.

I have a pair of Mountain Hardware Gore Tex gaiters, and I find them to hot for high output activity, and I snowshoe in some pretty cold weather (-30 Celsius).
I like the looks of the Boothuggers that H20cutter mentioned!
