Wow I havent seen it like this for quite some time. I recently started working on a new casino about 20 miles North of where I live, and this afternoon they had to shut the entire site down. The roof is starting to buckle under the weight of all the snow. I was looking at some of the bare walls and the studs were deflecting by as much as 3 inches. Kinda scary since it's to start raining by tomorrow morning. Could be an interesting next couple of days.

snowing hard here too... all al gores fault, mother nature's getting even with him. eh?

When the doors start to stick, that's a sign it is time to shovel the roof off. We used to live in Kitimat, British Columbia, one of the highest snowfall areas in North America. We would get three or four feet of heavy wet snow in 24 hours, then it would rain, which added to the weight.

We're supposed to be getting a nasty mixed bag of weather 4 tomorrow,,,,,,,,,,,, a lil snow,,,,rain,,, sleet,,,,,freezing rain,,,,,then some wonderful pure ICE,,,,,,,,,, and Iffin I was you BigBear,,,,,,,,,tomorrow, I'd try to work outdoors in the rain,,,,, rather than indoors under some collapsed new construction ,,, just a thought ....and i don't get many,,,lol good luck:thumbup:

How's that Skunk? Not sure I follow.

Tomorrow will be good. Going off to another project for awhile till engineers can figure out what they want to do, provided the silly thing doesnt cave in first. :)

I've always wanted to see Kitimat Ed. Hoping to go up sometime in the next year or 2 and do some fishing

Hitting 30-38 deg C here last few days.... :(

Snow sounds good at the moment....

You better get the snow off the roof of that birdfeederhouse before it collapses

We have snow which goes without saying but man it has been a little colder than usual for the past couple weeks here. I haven't chopped anything outside in at least a week. I usually do some just for fun....not as fun when it's too cold.

I just found out today that the entire valley that I live in is temporarily isolated. All roads and highways going either in or out are closed down due to either risk of avalanche, avalanche or mud slides. Theres a huge mud slide outside of Hope BC where the very first First Blood movie was filmed, and its over 4m deep in some places. Looks like theres gonna be some serious flooding this year when it all starts to melt. YUCK!!!

We're still snowless in MD, mid east coast :( Getting a bit of cold weather but nothing extreme and a bunch of rain.

It has been a very good winter so far, lots of snow, steady cold and no thaws so far. But we will pay for it in the spring when it all melts into a mess, that will make a good excuse to get away for a vacation.
