This is a first. I'm in OKC metro area, and we are having the biggest snowstorm I've ever seen. 11 inches so far with 50 mph winds. Christmas Eve w/ the extended family is canceled.....no prime dry aged prime rib or rack of lamb.....tacos are on the menu for my fam!:D

All interstates in the metro are closed as well as most of the secondary roads. I went to pick up my MIL and got stuck in my neighborhood in my truck. I had to use INFI to scrape the snow away, as I left the shovel at home!

ETA: I miss my 6" lifted Bronco w/ 33/12.5 Mickey Thompsons....there are literally thousands of people stuck in in there vehicles including many cops!! They need help...especially on Christmas Eve!

11 inches... Up here in Maine, that's what we call a "dusting"!!:D
-seriously,be safe and take it easy out there.

be safe, stay in and watch it fall with something tasty to drink

Yea I lived in okc in the eighties and I never seen anything like that. You need a good jeep with some meaty tires. I had two of them they'll go about anywhere you have the nerve to go. Well hope the weather gets better for you, and happy holidays.

I'm in Piedmont (NW OKC) and it looks like I may finally get to put those snowchains I bought for elk season in Colorado to use. I'll just have to dig down to the tires to get them on.

I'm in Tulsa. We got mostly ice for about 5-6 hours but now we are getting some snow. Should make for interesting driving.

Just talked to a friend who has been sitting on I-40 east of town for that past 2 1/2 hrs. Glad I'm not working tomorrow.

Be careful up there in Tulsa. That ice can be a killer, especially if the power goes out.

I love snow storms. Last year in Spokane WA, we had 100 inches. I was pushing snow up to the bumper in my 4x4. Year before that we had 96 inches.

I live near the Will Rogers Airport and we have some drifts of 5 ft. Lived in OK all my life and never seen anything like this one. I am going house crazy right now!
