SnowSeal question for the experts

Hi,

I applied SnowSeal to the outside of a pouch sheath and heated it with a hair dryer to let it soaked in. Should I do the same to the inside of the sheath to make the inside water resistant also? It just seems like if I were out in the rain, water would be most likely to run into the sheath.

Thanks,
Jason

Yup! Both inside and out. :) Much better protection that way.

If you can, go to a thrift store and get an old baking pan. Melt the SnoSeal in the pan and then let the sheath sit in it for a while, completely covered , soaking it up. Then remove it and wipe down with a clean rag.

Good idea :) But I would caution against oversaturation. If the leather soaks up too much of the Sno Seal it will become oily and floppy and it also shortens the life of the leather.
