So, I picked up a Lansky Turn Box with the diamond rods. Man did they wobble. I figured that can't be good for either the angle, or sharpening efficiency. I also imagined that I can't be the only one to have this problem. So, quick fix, a zip tie at the base of the rods, and you're all set.View media item 1546
BTW, I haven't measured the resulting angle, but can attest to the increased efficiency (at least perceived) in cleaning up an edge now.

Interesting. How old is your turn box? It's been my observation that the wooden bases, hole fitting, and rods have gotten much worse in the past few years — to the extent that I'm not recommending the same product I own.
