Snugpak Ionosphere (1 man tent) or Hennessey Hammock?

So I'm looking to invest in a new sleeping system and I've narrowed it down to either a Snugpak Ionosphere or a Hennessy Hammock Expedition. Both are around the $140 mark and I feel both would be good investments. What are people opinions on the two?

Yep, more deets. Cold or warm sleeper, cold or warm conditions, base-camping or hiking, hiking style... gear you already have (insulation is a bigger factor with hammocks, not harder per-say, but you have to be more specific about it)

I've just bought a one-man tent about 3 weeks ago; a Wild Country (Terra-Nova) Zephyros 1.
I was looking at the Snugpak Ionosphere but didn't choose it because of the restricted internal height, which is I think only about 28 inches (~70cm). The Zephyros 1 is about 95cm. I'm 5'10 and I don't think I could sit up in a tent that was only 28inches high. I'm obviously only using it for sleeping in but you never know if you may need to shelter while getting your stuff together when your either making or breaking camp.
Despite the difference in height I think the Ionosphere was only about 4oz lighter with a similar packed size to the Zephyros. And over here in the UK the Zephyros is about £80 (at current exchange rates $106US) cheaper than the Ionosphere.
I can though recommend Snugpak kit. I have one of their Elite 2 sleeping bags which I've been very happy with.
Oh I've no connection to Terra Nova btw.
Hope this helps.

I'm a "hanger" myself, so I do want to warn you of one thing: Hammocks will require an additional investment for an underquilt or you'll freeze in cooler weather. Also, the dinky little fly that comes with a Hennessy will require either replacement or you'll need a water resistant underquilt protector - cuz if your underquilt gets wet, you're screwed..

I will tell you that Hennessy makes a great product. SnugPak seems to have developed a reputation for poor quality - which I can attest to. Several years ago I bought one of their packs and it was unacceptable. I returned it. However, I have some recent SnugPak stuff (a couple of sleeping bags, underquilts, overquilt, cocoon bags and a tent) - and the workmanship on them is now quite good - I'd even go so far as to say excellent. YMMV.

If you go tent, I would look at the 2-man models. Gives you a little bit more room should the weather turn nasty or to place stuff in out of the rain if necessary. I personally favor the three man models for the reasons above. But for the most part I am not carrying it on my back very far.

That's what I did. I bought a three person with the idea that it would have enough room for my wife and gear. However, she snores and flops around so much at night that she's getting her own 2 man soon....
