have my 110lt in my pocket lately. pulled it out to use and realized its pretty close to that. if it had a drop point blade it would be real close...close enough.

anyone want a drop point version.....or a sodbuster shaped blade in a lockback 110lt frame?

wonder if any of the custom order shops might have buck make one....a lt in a drop blade? wishlist stuff i guess.....

^which one s30v lt.....drop point blade lt....or sod buster blade lt or all of the above?:)

I would like that. Put me on the list. DM
you already have one ya made dont ya Sir? cant remember if it was a plastic frame or not though?

edit part...found one of your pics of it Sir... a sort of selector plastic version with your sod buster blade......hope ya dont mind me posting it?

blade shaped like that in a 110lt frame would be great and one id use more than the drop point...but im not all that picky and a drop point version 110lt would suffice.

I like that knife, but have my eye on the red micarta aluminum framed 110 with s30v drop point right this minute. I'd like to see the 110lt with the s30v blade because it would be a perfect work knife for me. Nothing wrong with the 420hc that Buck uses I just like the toothy edge and better edge retention of s30v. Actually I've been carrying a bantam here lately and Buck has really impressed me with what they can offer at such a good price.

So go to copper and clad. buy a 110Lt, and the 110 with a drop point blade of your choice. (I would probably get the one with the 5160 blade.) And then trade the blades. It doesn't look like that would be hard to do. Then if you don't want the resulting knife with the clip point blade, sell it on the bay for whatever you can get from it.

O.B.

jbm, naw I don't mind at all. I have made several blades for a Selector. I believe those handles are valox and that one holds 2 blades. Both
lock. A very good skinner and it does well on processing chickens. The top blade is made from 440C, the next down is of 01 and the saw blade is of L6. DM

not worth the effort.....pinned and riveted knives arent quick like screwed ones. id rather just ask buck until i get what i want.:)

O onionfan did you ever get this knife? I'm on the fence over clip versus drop point.

No I ended up buying a Buck Trident from SK blades. (Drop point s90v blue carbon fiber 110 folding Hunter) Then a para 3 for my cousin in the air force and a Microtech Socom Elite for myself....knife budget is on lockdown for the time being. Haha. I still want one but my wants won't hurt me near as bad as my wife if I buy another knife right now.:p
But seriously, the Trident and the Microtech were selling out crazy fast and my cousin was getting deployed soon so I figured I could buy the other knife about any time.

The Trident I really like and find no fault with mine. My sod-buster style blade excells at cutting my daily apple, skinning, general field work, trimming limbs and cleaning under finger nails. That deep sweeping belly works. I thank your cousin for serving. DM

Thank you David. He's a real good young man. I pray God keeps him safe.

I have a Trident and a Titan (both awesome) along with a run of the mill 110. Can't really go wrong with the clip point or the drop point in my opinion. I think the drop point will hold up better for those that are rough on their knives, but either one is fine by me. I would pick based on the steel myself. But Buck does a fine job with all of them so even a "lesser" steel is not a problem.
