Any crk news you would like to share with those who didnt go to Blade this year? :)

How about the the "mystery steel" everyone is so curious about?
 
S35 something-or-other, but no definite intro date for production knives was the last I heard at their booth on Saturday.
 
Other threads have indicated that S35VN will slowly be phased into the folders.
 
We asked that very question about the folders and either Anne or Heather (I forget who we were talking to) indicated that it would probably become their folder steel at some point, but it would be a slow introduction.

Did you happen to ask or hear anything about the possible release of a small Umnum?
 
A friend sent me a photo from the show that made it look like the lanyards are no longer going around the sides, but between the handles, top to bottom, like the Umnumzaan. Anyone know if that is an option for the old models, and/or a new change to the Sebbie going forward?
 
Bucky... No mention of a small Umnum at all that I heard.

Joesnewmatch... The large 21s have the lanyard bar that the lanyard wraps through; but so far, the small 21s attach in the traditional fashion. At least mine does. Don't know if there is a small lanyard bar in the works or not.

Umnum fans... The CRK take-down tools are almost ready to ship to dealers from what we heard at Blade. I know that after-market tools are already available, but CRK is developing their own. They won't be shipped with new Umnums like the allen wrench is with Sebs, however. They will be an extra $ accessory.

From recent pictures that have been posted of the Sebenza 21, it would appear that the new cord tie bar has been implemented on the Sebenza as well. I am not sure if CRK would sell the cord tie bar as an accessory or not, but I don't see any reason would it wouldn't fit all Sebenzas.

The new lanyard pin fits the lanyard hole in all large and small sebs and is available through the shop. It is available in blue, gold and silver. BTW, it is one of Lisa L'Eveque Hague's bright little ideas.
 
Very cool! HMMM I think that a gold one might just be the thing for the LE's. I thought that I saw a blue one of those lanyard bars on a dog paw Seb at South Coast Plaza. :cool::thumbup:;)

I am sure you did. My Dog Paws 21 has the new lanyard bar. I LOVE it.
