So as a newbie I see the two toughest questions! Which lube do I use and of course,

which knife is next?

I just got the CRKT Ripple Aluminum and it just doesn't have the action that I was anticipating. I really don't want to break down a bearing knife straight out of the box, but I will if I have to.

1). It takes quite a bit of pressure to engage the flipper, this doesn't bother me too much, I kind of like it tight since when I carry it I plan to carry it unclipped!
2). It just doesn't seem to fly open as I said, do you think this is just a pivot adjustment issue, I loosened until I got blade play and then re-tightened to what I felt was tight enough to have no blade play (the blade is centered), but still have good retention. Still doesn't seem to be very fast and at times doesn't engage fully, maybe that's the way it's supposed to operate, I'm just looking for anyone else with experience with this issue, if there is any!

Thanks Guys

not sure this is the area for the question...but the answer for lube would be nano oil wieght 10. Best thing I have found over the years.

I'm not sure; but I believe the Ripple is a frame lock. If so, check your hand position - a little pressure against the lock bar will negatively impact blade deployment. Once you're sure that isn't the problem, try a quick clean & lube. Do not take the knife apart - if the above suggestions don't improve/fix the problem, return the knife for an exchange.
