  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I was at work today and I brought my knife sharpening kit with me to sharpen some of my co-workers knives for them.... I do this often because the don't sharpen there knives. then I had to go to the restroom for a minute. I told this old guy I Ed I work with I was going to the bathroom, I'd be back. he said yeah o.k. you would think that meant can you keep an eye on my bag for a minute while I was in the restroom since I just sharpened your damn knife! I come back and he is gone. where is my bag? it was an old military tool bag. I thought maybe he took it with him. I waited for him to come back to find out he didn't have my bag and no body else saw it.. I was PISSED... someone stole my sharpening stones, diamond sharpener kit, two Mora's, my vic huntsman, vic soldier with an 85 stamp on the blade, alox farmer. a compass, two fire steels, and some other random odds and ends.
I hope that jerk gets his knife good and sharp and cuts his finger off...
thanks for listening guys.

Whoa ... that's really bad. I can imagine how you must feel, especially when you were trying to do something nice for other people. You have my sympathy.

Shoot, man. What a drag. Really sorry to hear it. This sort of thing is always a drag, but it's particularly rough when your gear gets pinched when you are trying to provide a pro bono service to your colleagues.

Does your workplace have a lost and found? Maybe your bag will turn up (not holding my breath).

Tough break.

All the best,

- Mike

yeah I called security, they told me I shouldn't be doing that at work anyway.. we have 5,000 employees so it's just gone. I think I need a beer.

Were you in your place of work or out in a public area? If it got stolen where you work then it was probably another employee. You may want to report it to management. It may also be possible that someone saw the bag and thought it was lost and turned it into lost and found. Good luck. I hope you find your stuff.

Oh man that sucks... hope you find the fool who took your bag in the dark ally so you can beat the **** out of him... I cant stand thiefs, they makes my blood boil... They are subhuman.

that is a bummer man... i would be heated too... definitely try and look into getting this dude busted....:thumbdn:

it was another employee for sure, we can't leave the building unless we use our badge. my stuff was in our team room where we eat lunch. it just sucks that I was doing something good for people and this is what I get. SUCK...

Does your work have security cameras. Id go have another chat with Security if it was my bag. GL man.

Mike

Dam Boomer..that sucks...I have some firesteels and a stone or two that I dont use if you want them. Hopefully you can figure out who did it. Security cams?

Duuumbbb! Hope the guy falls, and lands on one of the knives on his neck! I frigin HATE petty thieves.

Good luck getting your stuff back man, maybe I can help you out too.

That sucks. I hope the thief gets what is coming to him. This sort of thing shouldn't happen to good people. Is their security cameras that you can look at to see who took it?

thievery is low....im sorry that happend man....only positive i can think of is maybe it turns the thief into someone who appreciates bushcraft......

id check lost and found and all ask the janitors if theyve found any bags....

You might check with your security folks and see if there is a video camera setup on the entrance/exit of the building and see if you can ID the perpetrator.

That sucks, there's nothing worse than a theif. I would just take the loss and move on, I doubt management would be able to help recover your goods, but they might be more curious to know why you brought a half dozen knives to work ;)
