I stray from time to time, but eventually return to CRK for their great designs, stellar quality, and great value. Some get it, some don't, and that's cool. I wasn't a fan-boy of any knife maker until I got my first CRK. They have earned my loyalty..

Anyone who can make a knife that looks like this must be doing something right. ;)

I agree bud..... I have tried others, but it's CRK all the way for me. Why I have owned 115 of em.

I will - most likely - never be without one. I alternate my 21 and 25 for EDC...everyday...;-)

100% agree! The company, the knives, and everything CRK stands for is first class in my book. The philosophy of buy once for a lifetime rings true with me in many areas. This is why I choose the quality of CRK. I'm proud to carry a CRK not only because of the knives, but also because of the old fashioned values that the company stands for. If something isn't right, they will bend over backwards to make it right. They have gone above and beyond for me more than once.

I like the knives I have. I can be objective and believe that mistakes, though historically rare with CRK, can happen. I also understand that not everyone values the same things I do....and even I did not at a few points in my life.

Bottom line, CRK probably is not the best for everyone, and certainly is not the best for everyone all the time.

That said, WHY do people feel so compelled to convince others that they should change their view point/philosophy on what the perfect knife is for them? I know it is a forum where we share our thoughts and opinions, but why share an opinion that you KNOW will be VERY poorly recieved? That seems a lot like baiting a fight.

+1,000 for this as well. Also well said. :)

I don't understand it either...

love my plain small 21.

I have some nice wood inlays and a Unique. I see some gorgeous CRKs on here that others own that are way out of my price range. But a plain Jane CRK with wear marks, snail trails and scratches holds it own in beauty with any of it's brethren....

Surprisingly I feel the same way. I have strayed a few times in the past but always came back to CRK. It's honestly the only knife that I feel as though I have to own again when there is not one in my collection.

I have really come full circle this time though. I have been thinning out my collection down to just my current Seb. Looking to add another one sometime soon. Hopefully a small.

I agree. My CRK's knives will always be my go to folders. I do love my Strider SNG also. My Hinderer is nice but I never carry it. Just doesn't do much for me.

I agree, I was one of those who did not get it until I got my first, and it wasn't a 21, it was an Umnumzaan; I was drawn to it the minute I saw it but was always beyond my reach. I was one of those people who think I can do the same thing with a PM2 or a 21, which is to cut stuff with it, and it is true, but to me when the magic happened was when I had the chance to own a 21, I had carried a PM2 in my pocket for three years straight and it still cuts the same, but it was quickly replaced by a 21 without any second thoughts after I experienced it for the first time.

There are other makers that I really like and still carry and use, so I don't really think I'm a fan boy per se (I think I'm becoming one though); what is indisputable to me is the quality of materials, the simplicity of design and the innovations that Mr. Reeve has brought to bear upon the whole industry. When I found out that he had actually invented the "frame lock" I was blown away because I always thought it was a genius design in any knife.

It was only until recently that I bought a plain 21 here in the exchange and what gained my admiration is the precision of its construction; after all the research I have done and after experiencing first hand the awesomeness of this knife, (after taking it apart) I don't think I will carry any other knife anymore.

I really like the graphics, and the artistry of some of the ones Lisa designs, like some of the ones that Lone Wolf has posted; but to me is the mechanics that did it. When I see tolerances of less than 3 tenth thousands of an inch, maybe even less than that, I get excited somehow, I love that about CRK, and that to me makes them actually cheap for what I'm getting; and you are right, that is a lot of value.
Now my goal is to have at least one of each model, even their fixed blades, and that will probably will take the rest of my life, and maybe my retirement fund!:o

I know, I talk too much.
