It is almost 9 AM here in New Zealand and all is well. The agency responsible for monitoring Y2K problems reported that there were no Y2K related breakdowns in telecommunications, power, banking, etc. The number of people arrested for drunken and dissorderly conduct was actually lower than in previous years. The 500 people who spent the night on a mountaintop awaiting the sunrise were a bit dissapointed by the cloudy conditions. Ooops!!

Who knows what the comming days/weeks/months will bring. Could it be any worse than if the wrong government were elected, ie. the NDP (socialists) getting elected in Ontario Canada several years back.
