Well the surgery went well. I have no pain in the knee right now, but the Novocaine/octocaine/whatevercain won't wear out for about two or three more hours. The percoset is waiting if (when) it is needed.
The facility was first class, and having booked the first surgery of the day was a smart idea. I couldn't have asked for better treatment or care.
Arrived at 6AM
In the prep at 6:15, ready by 6:30
In the surgery at 6:50
Woke up at 8:30 (or so)
Home at 9:15
Slept for 4 hours

Feeling good so far
Stacy

Just for grins, I wrote "RIGHT KNEE" in green on the proper leg, and "WRONG KNEE" in red on the other.

I know the relish will stop the pain from the surgery. But what's going to stop the pain from the HT'G Relish? I pray you will get better with time. It's good to know you are doing ok. Thanks for letting us all know how you are doing. And have a great week-end too. :)

Well, 24 hours and NO pain. I don't mean not much pain, I mean that except for the bandage on the knee it feels exactly like the other one. The lack of pain almost has me concerned, but all normal feeling in the knee and leg is fine. When I walk on it, it feels like it did before this ever started. If it wasn't for the fact it feels so good, and they showed Judy the photos, I'd swear they never did any surgery at all. The only funny thing is it squishes when I get up or bend it sitting down. I'm sure that is just the fluid in the joint, and may be why it isn't hurting ......yet?
So far so good.

Well, the pain is starting finally. It isn't much, about like it was before the surgery on a good day. I took a percoset to see what it does to the pain. I am going to put my leg up and read for a couple hours.

It's sore and a bit swollen today. It doesn't bend easily and can't take weight either. Otherwise -
So far so good.

Today was the first day back at work. I put in 10.5 hours. My leg feels GREAT. The sore, Charley-horsed muscles in the thigh and behind the knee relaxed at 1PM and the relief was immediate. I am getting ready for bed, without any pain in the knee (well, almost none), and no Oxycodone since 4PM.

See you guys in the AM.

Second day went even better( 10 hours). I am walking without aids most of the time. No pain meds since 6AM.
I'll quit boring you fellows now . I am just soooooo.... glad that it went well.
Thanks for letting me unwind here - Stacy

Good news:thumbup:
Take time to heal, then test them out and see how well they work.
It will feel great, getting around like a colt.:D

I threw away the crutches Friday. They were causing more back and knee problems than they solved, I think ( and "yes", I was using them right). I spent Saturday working in the yard, mowed the lawn, went shopping, etc. I used my old cane from 37 years ago (a nice one I made myself ), for about half the day, and then just left it in the car. I slept like a log last night, and woke up with a really good feeling knee this morning. I am going to get some more yard work done today. I would say the knee is about 90% back to normal function.
