KnifeKits.com has chosen to revamp their distribution structure and use a single distributor instead of selling dealer direct. This single distributor has not been easy to contact, or work with, let alone attain product from; as a result we are discontinuing carrying the Knife Kits line.
KnifeKits.com made a wise business choice on their part switching to distribution because they were inundated with product support calls & such. I fully support this decision, it was what was best for his business. Unfortunately, their choice for distributors does not make it friendly for us to continue carrying their excellent products. So, in the best interests of continuing to service our customers, we decided to discontinue carrying the product line. Should KnifeKits.com add other distributors in the future, or go dealer direct again, we will certainly carrying their products again.
Though we have made this tough decision, I would still recommend KnifeKits.com merchandise without hesistation to anyone looking for this style of product.

Well, I understand the business thing, but I'm still sad. 1sks was the ONE place where you could really get a good deal on those kits. I mean, honestly, with the quality of production knives out there, it takes a lot for someone who is unsure of their mechanical aptitude to pay almost the full price of a LOT of good Spydercos and even some BMs for a kit. I know their products are good, but the failing comes in my ability to put the pieces together in a way that will make a nice knife. I hope they get a better distributor, then, if that's the way they're going to go. This is a sad day for me... :yawn:
