So how is Busse pronounced?

No offense to Jerry, but I can think of a half a dozen ways to pronounce Busse. And seeing as how I've never heard the name mentioned verbally before, I figured that I would ask. This way if I do get into a conversation with someone in the know, I won't look like a total idiot.

I thought it sounded more like;

overdraft
credit-card
divorce-pending
need-more-infi

:rolleyes:

hmmm, no skunk in here either...:confused:

Like Hussie;)

Because that's what your wife will think your spending all your money on lately:p

Good Evening All-

This is probably the "most-asked" question on this page of the BladeForums! My vote is to put, "Busse rhymes with Fussy!" right in the yellow field at the top of the page! :p

I like Gundy's response...
The problem is if that is true, then Busse rhymes with knife!!!:eek:

No way. I thought it rhymed with "fussy", but there have been other opinions. Someone told me that it rhymed with "pussy', but he turned up dead a couple of days later. Someone beat me to it. Then I was told by a french member that the name rhymed with Poulilly Fuisee, but that doesn't help because I don't have a clue how to pronounce that anyway, never mind spell it. Another member told me in confidence that the "e" was silent, so the pronounciation is like "truss" but that can't be right: nothing associated with Busse is likely to be silent. I was then told that the name is derived from the ancient Germanic word for awesome monster of incomparable strength and reliability, which does rhyme with "fussy", but Jerry is hardly an objective etymological source :)
Methinks Busse rhymes with Fussy, but names are funny: you can spell a name Bhynfarnoughly and insist it be pronounced "Smith" if you want. I had a teacher like that. He could never pronounce my name either.
