$12.00 CDN - SAK - worker on sale at the local hardware store

Dropping my toonies in a mason jar for the next one. Bought my self a car coffee cup and fill my coffee at home before going to work. Thats giving me $10/week and $45/mo to spend on things the misses don't approve of.

Now if I can only convince my adult-aged kids to move out. Yeah - that would give me lots of spare cash....

Edit: Forgot where I was posting - toonies are the Candian two-dollar coin. I suspect my southern neighbhors will be switching to coins for lower bills one of these years....

i discovered BladeForums 5 months ago. until that time i had ~40 knives collected over 50 years, most of it unremarkable. i started out in this forum and bought 2 chris reeves, a fehrman, spydercos, etc. then i discovered the traditional forum and my interest really grew. i realized i had been a suppressed knife knut, so i caught up: 51 knives in last 5 months. profit from selling my house and i'm enjoying learning and using/sharpening and collecting immensely. i've never had a hobby before. roland

Probably between $8,000. and $10,000. (I'd rather not know the exact amount :o ;) )

FWIW - whatever you have spent, it was not wasted. I know guys who are shoving that much up their noses. Now THAT is a waste, among other things...:( :( :( )

15K, but I do a lot of selling as well as collecting. The bulk of mine has been a kitchen-type knives...I would guess that's a bit different!

I've spent about 2k, and my wife thinks that it is way too much. I have to remind her that we've spent twice that amount on her jewlry.

My home is paid off, as are both my cars and my truck. I'm single and live alone.
The only limiting factors on my knife spending are my income and good sense (both of which are in short supply :D )
Probably in the $2500 range.

Not enough... maybe $300, and I'm going to dropping a bunch more for knife related equipment (new house means new shop!).
