So I dont have the spare change to get a real one yet, this will have to do in the meantime. You guys post so many great photos of the knife, made this real easy. I still gotta add the clip and backspacer, hollow out the lanyard hole and slap some texture on it. Then I can composite it into photos of myself and dream that I actully have one :)

What is amazing me having done this much, is the exqusite design. I nearly crapped myself when I pivoted the blade closed with the rotate tool and saw how it lovingly wrapped around the internal structures. Makes me want one even more....this one doesnt cut real well.

What did you use and how long did that take you?

I am a video game developer so I was just futzing with this while I was compiling what I was actually suposed to be working on. Maybe 2 hours altogether on what you see there, textureing may take a bit longer. I used Lightwave 6.5 to model it since that is what we use at work.

I had the idea to do it last night when I was working on my freelance job. I was looking at AluminiumOvercast's excellent shots of the SNG and thinking to myself how much easier it would be if my photo-sources had that even lighting like his shots. Then I thought about how much fun it would be to model the SNG.

Not even close to as cool as a real SNG, but its all I got.
