"do not fly with a knife you are not willing to lose" is for me one of the best advise I have ever heard.

Since I am flying for holiday I decided to take my Swiss Climber of 17 years with me for holiday to the coast. Can't rust and can't go wrong with this pocket tool.

Going into checked luggage of course.

Looking forward to use this knife for a month about only. Going to miss my other knives:(

It's amazing how naked you feel when you have to "get by" with only one knife/tool, isn't it?:D

I can't remember the time I had to go a month without switching it up a bit. Anything more than a week and I start getting the shakes:eek:

That said, if I had to pick only one SAK to take with me the climber would be way up there on the list. For a general EDC pocket tool, I really find it a hard knife to beat

I keep a leather bum-bag packed with a few odds and ends for when I travel. I went through the metal detectors for a flight to Ireland and only then remembered I had left my camo spartan in it :( That was the last I saw of it and I haven't seen one since.

Well I am back and the climber did its job, that's the most important thing. Yet I am glad to be able to rotate my edc again one really value all the knives you have when you are sepperated from them for a long time.
