I was at my local pawn shop today and they know I love knives. The clerk sneaks in the backroom and pulls this out for me. I could tell instantly it was home made but I really liked the sheath and hey $30 Cad! ($22.50us) why not?

As you can see the grind is a bit off, but hey it's a huge chunk of carbon steel. And the handle is quite comfy.

Gave the blade a quick polish and off to the woods I went.

Found a sick dead tree and decided to do a little "Bush Craft" aka what axes are better at lol

Yes it's crude and imperfect but it's also a lot of fun. I wish I could find the person who made this. Maybe they are on this forum?

Very cool. I love unique knives. At that price who cares if you damage it, or if the grind is a little off.

Once I'm able to drive again, I may have to go check out a pawn shop for grins. It's been nearly 20 years since I've been to one. Actually, I bought an N64 for $15 plus $5 for three controllers. Just played GoldenEye on it today as a matter of fact.

Great catch! For ~$22USD, you can’t go wrong and you certainly did well. The knife looks like a honey and the sheath alone looks like it’s worth most or all of the price you paid.
I wish my area had pawn shops, but the last one anywhere near me shut down a couple decades ago. I envy your having pawn shop(s) to cruise.

The sheath is worth a lot more than you paid for the package. The most important thing about the knife is whether it performs well for you, which it apparently does. Congratulations on a nice purchase.
