As the title states, I bought one of the two (that I saw) Scrapyard Knives Dumpster Mutts at KCR yesterday. I don't recall who I talked to at the show, but it took me a while to decide to buy it, both of those guys were real patient with me, and I appreciate it!
I paid the exorbitant price of $69 plus tax.
Now, I need a sheath. Searching over at the Scrapyard forum site, I got two names: Rainmaker and David Browne. David posts here and I found his site; he appears to focus on holsters for guns but he also does knives, although I didn't see a sheath for the DM. I couldn't find the Rainmaker site at all.
What I'm looking for is a Kydex sheath much like what I got with my ESEE RC-4, simple, and I hope pretty cheap. I plan to use paracord to make a belt loop.
I'd like to order off the shelf, with pics and prices already known.
Who's good to go to, given the above?
Thanks,
Al
Oh, the DM: Hell of a good looking knife! It looks just as heavy-duty as my Becker Crewman, if not more so. The only downside, which I haven't confirmed yet, is the handle appears to be a little small for my large hands. Having said that, I haven't had a chance to use it yet, so the jury is still out on that. From reading the Scrapyard site, it appears the price I paid was a very good price, which is one of the major reasons I decided to buy it since I need another knife like I need another hole in the head.
Anyway, thanks for listening and any help.
Thanks,
Al
