There's supposed to be 8, but they forgot to send me another 711. I've always been told to get a Mora, so when I saw that shipping was free on $100 order's figured why not get 8.. Best $100 I every spent. Ended up buying a Classic #2 since I figured they were sending me another 711, might as well save on shipping;)

Mora makes some good knives. I had a triflex and a 711 for a year or so and they held up fine. The ones you have should last you quite awhile. Enjoy them!

The 711 is my personal favorite( mostly due to the excellent grip ). IMO Moras in general are excellent field worthy knives that just happen to be inexpensive.

I think you need at least eight, so you can get one of the traditional wood-handled models. Then you can start on the different brands - Helle, Ahti, Karesuando, Brusletto... :)

I agree. I'm happy I bought 2. I actually bought one for my dad as a gift. He has a well used Normark that looks similar(But has a wider blade, and is stainless. Same handle material) I think I'm gonna end up giving him the SS companion, and the 440(As he'd be using them for hunting) Or let him pick what he wants.

No clue why I bought the 731 to be honest. 6" is a lot of blade. At least it's thicker then what I thought it was gonna be though.

I did buy a Classic #2. Thanks for mentioning the others, didn't know about those. I have my eyes set on that Brusletto Bamse.........But, I need another knife like a hole in the head.

Only you get to decide how many knives you need.

Here's a mathematical approach:
If a Collector or Accumulator bought, on average, one knife per month, at age 40 they would have 480 knives.
So, age x 12 = x
X = number of knives needed.

Keep in mind that formula is open to interpretation. The number could be a recommendation, desired target, or absolute minimum. Regardless, it's a conservative calculation with no enforceable consequences if you exceed X.

Hope that helps. :D

I love Mora's. I'm especially fond of my HighQ Carbon. The handle fits my hand really well and the sheath is very serviceable. My HighQ is one of my best knife purchases in a long time.

The 711 is to my favorite its about the best $12 u could spend. For what they give u Mora's are an excellent value
