Hi folks -

I had been over on the corvette forums side planning my mods / upgrades to my car for the coming season. I was trying to not spend money on knives for a few minutes. :o

Well, as luck would have it, one of the guys on the corvette site I was on donated a CRK Small Sebenza 21 with Bloodwood inlays, born in 2010 to the St. Jude Auction benefit.

The knife was sitting there, looking lonely and the bidding was under $100....Long story short, I made a nice donation to St. Jude and one of my Corvette buddies sent me a NIB Small Sebenza 21.

I see where people could really love these - it is a very nice knife. It reeks of quality; the spine is nicely rounded (like on my JK Knathet  ), the blade is polished, the fit and finish are superb. Cool knife - a little smaller than I like for EDC, but a wonderful addition to the inventory.

Here are a few pictures of the knife -

That will teach me to try to stay away from my knife addiction.

I wound up paying a reasonable price for the knife (a little less than the MSRP), and it is tax deductible as a donation to St. Jude. Thanks to my friend in Chicago who donated the fine knife for the cause.

Beautiful knife. Congradulations.
I ordered one exactly like it six weeks ago from CRK and was told i'll have it this week. I can't wait.

Hi enzo -

You are in for a treat!

I carried it for a week at work, and it is very handy as well as being beautiful.

I was not sure about the lanyard, but I wound up using the lanyard to pull the knife out of pocket.

Congrats to you as well!

I have yet to handle one of those. There are few things in this world that get such rave reviews so it must be as good as it looks.

Have always admired them but not the price. Can buy many Bucks for the price. My most expensive folder (so far) is an Emerson A-100 I bought here on BF.

Very nice (knife and cause)! If i ever figure out the powerball numbers, im buying my dad and step dad both a southpaw sebenza and a jk just like the one John sent my son.

mqqn that was a win-win for sure.

I just got a project myself, so my knife spending is on hold also. I wanted an older 4wd without all the computer stuff on it, that I could work on and play with. Here's what I came home with- it doesn't look like much but it runs, drives and the 4wd works. All original with factory tilt, cruise, and air- not bad for a 1979 model. I see a lot of sheet metal work in my future. Actually I'm hoping to find a donor body in pretty good shape.

I had a mid 70`s IH Scout, they are built like a tank! My all time favorite was my 1978 Land Cruiser, that I had bought new. Around 1985 I put a 327 Chevy small block in it, with 4.10 gears front and rear, that thing was unstoppable.

Kyturkey you lucky dog. I had to get rid of my INTL a few years ago but I sure miss it. Does that have the 345? If so, they are pretty much bullet proof.

So mqqn, does it live up to it's reputation?

Hi Sean -

Well - the reputation is really built up, but yes, it is a very fine piece.

I am happy with the knife, and it compares favorably with other nice folders that I have.

best regards -
