Great feeling knife. Swapped out the grivory for the micarta handles that the UPS man handed to me a bit over an hour ago. Batoned through some wood for the first time. The coating isn't too robust, as it started coming off part way through. Minor gripe but I'm not worried - love marks add character! Was going to start a fire to try out my new ESEE fire kit but it started raining. :grumpy: (let's see if I can upload a pic on this way too complicated android phone...)
The edge grind came uneven toward the tip - no biggie I guess. I tried putting a good edge on it but my sharpening skills are that of a n00b.
I love the feel of the knife, and the heft when you're getting that initial bite into the wood for batoning. But its still small enough to do more delicate tasks. I would have liked some jimping (?) on the spine but its not needed. This thing is bomb proof at a great price.
Overall I'm pleased. Adding another knife maker to my steadily growing list of favorites.
EDIT: that picture looks way huge while on my phone. Trying to fix it now. (I wish our main internet didn't stop every time it rains :thumbdn
EDIT EDIT: fixed (maybe)
