I had to see what all of the talk was about. My other knives are going to be jealous. This one isn't leaving my pockets anytime soon. The micarta scales are beautiful and this has to be one of the most comfortable in hand knives I have ever owned. Big  to BCS and Busse for the quick shipping and a well make product.

Now that I have the knife, I need a sheath to go with it. Any recommendations from owners on where to start looking? I am looking for mainly pocket carry, but belt may happen to. I can go either way, kydex or leather. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I can see this is going to be a long addiction and my checkbook is going to need rehab soon.....

Nice score:cool::thumbup: I love the SAR 3.
There are a lot of great sheath makers around here too:D

For leather, Chuck (Chuddy Bear) does great work.

Kydex: Mashed Cat, Buy Brown, and a buch of guys on the forum

So, what scale/finish option did you go with?

Congrats! I edc my sar-3 for some time, and I really like it. Great little blade.
If you're looking for kydex sheath I can really recomend Al - azwelke. His sheaths are perfect, and he's a great guy to deal with.

Azwelke is being modest. He makes a mean Kydex for sure. I had one of his in Coyote brown for a BWM and it was an excellent sheath.
Buy brown is awesome. Mashed Cat too.

Tons of leather benders that rock.

Chuddy Bear, Leatherman, treestump leather, Mikeymoto sheaths. And many more I am forgetting.

Nice score on the SAR3, which one did you get? The handle shape is just right for a secure grip but I found that the pommel end of the scale was a little sharp and dug into my hand. It was not enough to hurt but after extended use became a bother. A purple scotchbrite wheel on my dremel and a few minutes is all it took to sort that out. I rounded over the sharp corners at the back and it feels great.

Whats next on the INFI menu for you?

Agreed. I used a couple of different grits of wet and dry to smooth that area down on my micarta scales. I also gave the blade an edge. It' a fantastic little knife now.

Chris.

Ditto. I used some of those foam block sanders they sell at automotive places right by the wet/dry stuff to make a more rounded and comfortable surface.

The SAR3 is a great EDC... I carry it in a kydex sheath with no clip just dropped inside my pocket. I'm using it for my daily work knife now. Dug a couple of holes and pried open a medium-sized manhole cover so far. And cut stuff and stripped wire, of course.

Azwelke also made a kydek sheath for my BWM, coyote brown, great work. I had a leather sheath made for my SAR 3.

Thanks for all the replies guys. After looking at some of those sheaths, I may have to order one of each. Ill get some pics of it up this afternoon for those that want to see it, but I got the satin finish/green canvas micarta combo.

I'm not a big fixed blade guy being that I live just outside a large city, but this has to be the perfect edc fixed blade. Ive tried to edc small fixed blades before, ie. Esee Izula, Hinderer Flashpoint, Benchmade 211 Activator, but none of those stayed around very long. This one on the other hand is a treat to use. Cant say it enough, but thank you to the Busse family for such a great knife!
