so, i got these tonight...

They were on my watch list, but work is slow and I have my eye on future closing auctions as priorities this month. That TT could definitely turn into a user IMO. By the way, my copy of "an ax to grind" came and I couldn't be happier. I'm super excited to get through it as soon as my wife's done soaking it up! Thanks again, sir.

thanks cb-r! glad you got it. i thought that you would get it today... not to far from MT to OR... i hope it serves you well...
yeah, i'll have to get it, but i think the ol' TT will be alright... well see... pics to come:D
edit to say; your welcome...:)

Also was on the watch list for me. And, like yourself, i'm curious as to the listing title. German Trumpeter? What the heck is that? One of a kind perhaps? I'm sure it's just excited ignorance on my part, but it sounds outstanding! Please keep us updated, M3mphis.

...the beat-up one is junk, but the old true temper... i think has potential...
what do you folks think?...

You can send the beat-up junky one to me, I'll take it off your hands for you. :D

Actually, I think it has potential, too. The marking is "Knot Klipper" which I think was Mann's top of the line axe. Nice size for bushcraft.

This Trumpeter sold for $250 a few days ago:

Nice. I didn't realize that the one was a knot klipper. Nice grab, bearhunter.

Too bad the trumpeter I picked up isn't pristine like that one! I can't wait to try it.

nice grabs, and you guys need to knock that off. Buying axe heads is over rated, dangerous, and is not something people should be into.

The Knot Klipper was indeed on of the top lines for Mann, so hopefully when you get it the head should reflect that as far as quality of steel, etc goes. The other one just needs some TLC and it will be a steal.

Nice finds through the thread so far. How did that paper label make it thru......hmmm.....
