...and it seemed a shame to cut it off. 1/4" stock, full convex grind, cocobolo handle. My 2nd knife. Warped 2" from plumb on my first heat treat. Had to anneal, normalize, straighten, normalize, re-harden. Counterbored the first set of scales on the INSIDE. Oh well, live and learn. Cuts tree limbs like a light sabre. This is fun!

I think that is beautiful work. What weight? What finished length--still 18 in?

(and clever to counter-bore from the inside, you get weight reduction without it being obvious to the viewer. Nice.)

Wow, that's nice! Great field knife.

Wish I had more equipment for that kind of work. Probably take me the rest of my life to figure out where to do the hammer work and then all the tricks of the heating is another ball game. I like the horns but, I've seen some beautiful wood work and that sure is a piece of it.:D

Ferguson,

Great job! Hard to believe that's only your second knife. Nice grinding, you gave her a very appealing shape.

Good looking blade there Steve. Hope to see it in person soon!
Keep up the great work!

That is one gorgeous knife!
May I be so bold as to suggest a name for this knife?.......
"The Texas Bird and Trout Knife"
:D :D :D

2nd knife?!?!? WOW.

Very pretty, very sleek.

You need to enter some cutting competitions with that!!! :)
