Thank you for all those posting in my previous threads!

I ended up winning a Black on Black Paramilitary for $122.50 shipped.

After all the talk I will have to eventually pick up a D2 Para, but for now this will do. :]

Reason why im not putting out for the d2 now is because I also have a Lava and sharpmaker on the way...also just received a Cricket and Dragonfly for christmas. :p

Also don't want to by the best first and have nothing to look forward to right? hah

Congrats on your huge spydie haul this year

But I have to say, you could have fit it all into one thread..especially this one.

Congrats Zippo. you're making me jealous.:) I'm expecting a review on that para. It's on my short list.

imho i would of said d2 first. the black on black is available eveywhere cheap, the d2 is getting pricey. the longer you wait the more it will be. thats even if you can get it a while from now... i love my d2 mili and para and would never part with them. people love the steel and are grabbing them left and right. atleast buy it soon instaed of 6 months or a year from now when they will go for hundreds of dollars.

Agreed sorry guys for cloggin the threads, on a brighter note thank you for all your input and knowledge. All of you have taught me so much over the past few months I have been here on BF.

Thanks again!

Good luck on your purchase. I'm sure you'll love it. After posting in here yesterday I tried to scrounge up a D2. The only one I found on Ebay was a BIN 189.00. I'm sure you can eventually do better than that but I would keep my eyes out for one. They are getting harder and harder to find. Enjoy your new para.

My para just came in this morning and can't believe everything everyone has been saying is completely true! Hard to fathom that a knife can be so esteemed, I would assume a lot would be brand loyalty, but no this knife just reeks of quality. Very impressed with my initial looks. Thanks again everyone who put in their 2 cents, im guessing this won't be my first and only para.

i know how you feel. i really like mine.

Why does everyone recommend the D2 over the S30v? I've read it's slightly better edge retention but is that it? I thought S30v was pretty tops for folders.

I appreciate that link zippo. What are the downsides to D2 vs the S30v? It seems that it is more brittle and more susceptible to rust? Is that right?

congrats zippo the black on black Para is a great looking knife!

Im loving it! Got to use it right away to cut out the address sticker on a card board box...very sharp and I can't get enough of the compression lock. So easy to flip open and closed. The knife has the smoothest opening closing out of all my spydies! :jerkit:

One thing I did notice is that I can open and close this by flicking the knife...therefore classifying it as a gravity knife?
