Got back form my shop today.....a few dollars later here we are!!. The BK-2 is incredible. I hadn't handled one until today and as soon as it was in my hand I Had to own it.

Only negative is that out of the box it was pretty dull. Nothing I can't take care of but its always nice to have a hair popper right out of the box.

I love this thing..

Congrats on the new blades. Mine was shaving sharp out of the box, but the sheath does dull it some.

ive had a couple of 2's over the last 6 months or so (dont ask) and it was hit or miss with the sharpness. but anyways congrats or your purchase, now its time to mod it, or dont, beat it up, or dont, strip it, or dont, baton with it, or dont, chop with it, or dont, put it in a safe, or dont.....

Hey what do you think of that PD31? I EDC an LD10 and it has been nothing short of great for me, but I want something a little bit brighter, so I'm hoping to order one on payday if the funds allow it, I was on the verge of picking one up a while back after drooling over it for months but it just never happened (thanks to BK&T, Benchmade and Spyderco. :grumpy::thumbdn:...:D). So how bright is that sucker???

Max output per the box says 304 lumens, throws 140 meters. Me and a buddy were fishing tonight and walking back to the truck in the dark, this light more than led the way. It is very bright. My same buddy picked up the TK15 today and although the TK says it has higher output, the PD31 seemed brighter....I love it.

nice !! that must throw a beam.. I think mine is 180 lumens with strobe and that sucker is super bright daylight in the woods.. I just can't get past lights that don't run AA batteries.........I know, I'm lame... but seems to me those batteries are a fortune...........

btw, what spydie is that?

I use the TK15 and will recommend it anytime. On the brightest level it spews out 337 lumens.

@JW Knives, congrats on your BK2 score.

Oh yeah, the TK is an amazing light, we were both pretty happy with our purchases. The Spyderco is the FRN UKPK. It's the one with CTS-BD1 steel....for $35 I couldn't say no!

fenix was my number one until jetbeam came along, but i'm not giving up ANY of my fenix lights :>

I've never held a Spiderco or a Becker I didn't like. I'm pretty adamant about staying near camp at dark so my $10 plastic surplus torch does me good. Although I went online to get a Fenix(type i no longer remember) that a buddy of mine was pretty adamant me getting but I got the San Mai 11 instead.

I got a TK-21 being delivered tomorrow or the next day. I've been carrying an Olight T-20 for about 3 years now, and I like it fine, but that TK-21 will do the low output duty just as well as the T-20, but high output is more than twice as bright at 468 Lumens, throwing out to 220 meters I think is what I read. Plus, it runs on 2 x RCR123's or 1 x 18650, and with the 18650, will run at high for almost two hours, and I'll hardly ever use that output range anyway. I'll be using the 50 and 180 Lumen settings almost all the time, so won't have to worry about changing batteries before at least 10 or 12 hours of total run-time. The T-20 accepts only 2 x RCR123 and runs on high (220 Lumens) for only about an hour.

Anyway, cool shoppin' bag you got there. Congrats all the way around!

Just an update, actually had to exchange the Fenix as there were 3 or 4 occasions where the light would not turn on. The one I have now seems to be working perfectly. Still not something that you want to have to deal with....
