Finally I bit the bullet and ordered the Cold Steel Master Tanto. It is in San Mai steel; 6" blade. I found a knifemaker who is willing to make a perfect leather sheath, because I heard bad stories about the Secure-ex sheats
I have to wait one week before it is delivered here
Can't wait!

What are your experiences with the Master Tanto?

I won't use it as a survival knife, so no splitting wood and things like that. I see this knife more as a tactical knife.

Excellent size, love the San Mai. My MT's are tactical/fun blades for me. They will work fine for some everyday tasks though. A work of art IMHO. Caution, you may get the urge to get other sizes too! I did happen to me! Post pictures and your feelings.
