All this time I keep spending on CPF is really starting to hurt my knife money.

Geez.

While I'm waiting for it to arrive.

Anyone else have one? What do you think?

Yeah I got one recently, and am extremely happy with it. For some reason it doesn't dazzle in a lit room the way one might expect of a $120+ flashlight, but take it outside and look up a tree with it. It's not really made for insane throw (as people openly admit on CPF), so I wasn't expecting to see a whole lot with it. I was surprised how well the beam held together when I was looking at trees across the street, and the spill light is sooo nice to have around for more "general purpose" things. The beam shape on mine is pretty much perfect, and the color is very white and comfortable to look at.

I picked up an E2e bezel and MN03 lamp for throw, but I think I like the output of the L4 even more! In general I think it's a damn fine light.

Thought I'd help you boost your confidence in your recent acquisition :D

I just used mine last weekend to look for a downed buck in the woods at night and it was great. It actually has pretty good throw, particularly for an LED. It doesn't compare to SF's more powerful incandescents but it is pretty close to the E2E. On the other hand, no bulb to break and great battery life.

I actually bought mine with the intention of selling it. Now I'm thinking that I don't need the E2E.

Yup, got one and I love it. It's my EDC light in an On/Scene Tactical kydex horizontal belt sheath.

At first the light seems wimpy (in daylight), but get it in a dark room and it's quite amazing. The beam quality is A1.

You'll be very happy with this light.

The SF L4 is my favorite 2x123 cell light -- decent throw, wide beam and great spill that really covers a lot of area.

I took a KL4 head (same head as on the SF L4) and put it on an old SF E1 one-cell body -- no where near as a bright as the L4; but, the KL4 head runs great on just one cell too. This one cell configuration has become my EDC because it's smaller.

I bought the E2e and the KL4 bezel and really liked the function of both types of illumination so I bought the L4 body and a Z57 clickie and now have 1 E2e incan w/MNO3 LA, and 1 L4. I want to get a E1e with the KL1 (1 watt LED) for more mix and match possibilities. And I thought knifeaholism was an addiction. LOL
