We cant be friends because I cant stand someone charging so much money for a crap and justifying it by macho tacticool bullshit...

I see Emersons and say to myself, that is a nice looking knife and i love wave feature. Then I see the price, and remember the mini-commander I got and how dissapointed I was.

Its a cool knife, extremely overpriced. I got a spyderco endura with a wave and it outperforms the Emerson on every level, especially price.

It is an extremely stupid arguement, you are so right. You like you like you don't you don't, discussions get ugly pretty quickly about them I'm surprised no one has jumped on this yet.

Its a shame that a thread like this has that pretense...what ever happened to constructive critisicm? Oh well nothing will ever convince me to buy a straight Emerson again. I'll grab a ZT collab cause I like the wave feature and ZT, n I'll go from there.
 
I'll wait for the ZT/Emerson collaboration as well. Better steel, better F/F, better price and right/left hand carry.
 
Ernest Emerson is a fantastic knife designer. He has a huge following on purpose because peeps like his knives for what they are, tools to be used. I will always have an Emerson folder in my drawer or... on me.

Emersons are fantastic knives that are constantly sold out. Not sure why some have such a visceral response to them, but then again Harley's fit that description too. Maybe some don't like American products?
 
What can we learn from this thread?

That opinions differ, and that some people don't know how to express their opinions courteously. We have the Whine & Cheese forum for snide remarks and we have an Emerson forum for discussing Emerson knives. This thread is just as well closed.
