...could you use the BAD, but he insisted on a scalpel. just had my tonsils out yesterday, and while it hasn't been as bad having them removed as an adult as everyone says, it's still pretty gnarly. but the worst part is paying the deductible means I'm on the sidelines tomorrow night.

I think I'll go try some ice cream under my scotch as a celebration for the operation being a success.

Had mine out too when I was in college. Careful not to overdo (I did, and opened up an artery from the surgery. Ice cream is good, scotch might sting a bit, but after a while, you might not care.
