So I stumbled into 2 BK6 Patrol Machetes....now what?

As some of you guys know, I've been looking for a BK6 the past few months. Well, I literally ran into 2 of them within a few minutes of each other and being the spaz that I am, I couldn't help but snatch them both up. One, however, is a completely unfinished blade. It is beautiful and it has been hardened. Thought I would show a few pictures of the two side by side.

I'm really surprised at the weight difference between the two. The finished model weights in at just barely over a pound. The unfinished blade weights in at 1lb 11 ounces. The thickness seem quit a bit different as well. I know some steel has to come off of these in finishing but that sure seems like a lot. I love the look of the unfinished blade. I had a guy going to finish it out for me but I'm starting to think he wouldn't be up to this challenge. Now that I have two, I may pass one on for the Brute I'm desperately searching for now. You gotta love a BK6. They are beautiful!

They are both damn fine looking. I am leaning toward trading one for the Brute. Then you have one of each. If you get to a situation that you need to dual wield those patrol machetes, you should have just brought a chainsaw :D
 
You need a sword-maker to grind that puppy.
I sorta know a guy in CT, but he does mostly custom stuff. don't know if he'd work on something like that - and *hardened* too. How do you know it's hardened, btw?

The more I see that Patrol Machete, the more I like it. I hope it makes it back into the lineup soon. Before the Brute even.
 
Now you should send them both to me until you can find that Brute, then send that to me and I'll send back one of the PMs... ;)

i just bought a NICE brute today

came with complete kit, including a whisker biscuit :0

oh, it's a PSE, not a Becker :)

cost more than a knife too... well, more than anyone should spend on a Becker ;)
