I was out doing some hand gun drills yestarday. I was all done for the night, and I had my new 5 along for the ride. I was on my way home and I figured I would head on over to a close by lake to snap a few photos at dusk of my new found love.
I parked the car in a turn around and walked down to the lake behind some small trees out of sight of my car. I was down by the water for close to 20 min when I heard a truck pull up and stop at my car. I was in a remote spot so I was a little concerned someone was up to no good with my car. So I popped up out of the trees and I found my car getting looked over good by a park ranger. He was holding on to his tickets.... I was like crap, I am in Natchez Trace State Park after dark and I am going to get a ticket. He asked "what are you doing down there?"
I pulled out the 5 and said, taking photos of my knife! He laughed and said, "why would you take photos of your knife? " I handed him the blade, his eyes lit up! "holy crap! Now this is a sweet knife!"
I proceeded to tell him all about ESEE, and how he needed a 3, an Izula, and half the other blades ESEE offers! He agreed! I wrote down the website, the forums, and Jeff and Mike's name.
He thanked me, put away the tickets, and we parted ways.
That said, I have yet to show one person these blades, that did not end in a fast walk toward a computer and use of a credit card. It makes me want to stock up on them and hawk them out of my car! They would be that easy to sell!

Thanks again ESEE for the great blades!

True dat. It was the same with me and the Izula. My daughter handed me hers. I pulled it out of the sheath and BAM! I had to have one.

I wonder what's in that coating Jeff puts on these things?

Man, you guys are just killin' me with all these ESEE5 tales.
I keep telling myself "I don't need a 5, I already have the 6", "The 5 might be to much overkill for everyday use", "I'm waiting for the LazerStrike". Bla Bla Bla.... Must Resist...
Willpower fading... Must hide wallet... Don't need wallet, have PayPal...AHHHHhhhhhh!

I love those pics! Any chance you have a 1920x1080 version of the first one I could use as a background? I'm actually rather surprised we don't have a wallpaper sticky here or something. Fantastic pictures.

Great pictures. I am not surprised that he was impressed with the ESEE-5. Most folks are once they hold one.

This first pic could be a book cover for "A knife and the great outdoors"
Great pics and story!

Great little story.

It's funny how those ESEE knives can do that to an unsuspecting visitor.
