felt like customizing something, put a new edge and a double diamond paracord wrap on a tracker, i like a little more grip on a user and like the way para-wraps feel. even gave it a hand guard of sorts... check it out!

if anyone else tries this let me suggest using painters tape on the edge, damn thing got me twice on the right pinky knuckle! ouch!

couple of things i noticed already, balance changed significantly, dont know for better or worse but im gonna go hack up some cardboard and find out ;)

Comments, criticisms, general comments? post em!

Very nice. A definite improvement. I have never been a huge fan of cord wrapped handles, but then I have never really used one. I may have to try this with one of mine...

thanks! wifey thought so but she is biased. :D
there are a few places, even striderknives website i believe that show you how, after reading them, screwing up 20 times i gave up and tried it my own way. lol

Darkestthicket, you are an innovator and true asset to our knife community. Nice work. What are you thoughts on the Tracker as a knife? At what tension did you draw the cordage?

doh! sorry cougar, i will eventually not post things in the wrong forum! Nacci, I put as much tension on it as i could, it was done by hand so i dont know what the actual tension is. At first i was a severe tom brown fanboy and thought it was the "be all-end all" of ourtdoors knives, i am a little bit wiser now after doing some testing but it still performs very well and i still carry it for hiking and backpacking and such. until i find one that outperforms it, it will still be my #1 outdoors knife for general purpose. thanks everyone for the compliments, I actually re-wrapped it again without the hand guard as it didnt look and feel perfect the first time. ill try to post some pics when i get a better camera.

Have to admit, dt, I've never been a fan of tracker-style knives, but the wrap does make it a pretty attractive piece. Nice work, you've obviously got a good eye.
