So I was at the knife shop today…

I started looking at and was distracted by 2 Spydercos, and was set to buy them. But then I remembered why I made the trip, I was interested in the 112 Slim Pro. I walked over to the Buck case and knew I wanted the 112 Slim Pro in brown and green micarta.
Sure, the Spydercos had “fancier” locks and were “prettier”, but when I saw the Bucks, I knew I found what I came for. I like to use my knives, not just look at them and admire their looks. And yes, the 112 Slim Pro is a handsome knife. It’s basic in a “function over form” kind of way. To me, it’s what a knife is, a cutting tool. I e no doubt I’ll get many years of service out of my new knives. And I also know that Buck will be around longer than me, so if I ever need service, they’ll be there.
That was my day!

Now hold on for just a cotton picking minuet. Spyderco? Pretty? I have never seen a Spyderco knife I didn't think was stupid ugly. One of the main reasons I refuse to own one.

Congratulations on you new Buck 112. I'm sure it will serve you well.

We do like pictures, so post up a few of your new Bucks...there is a thread especially for 'Your Newest Buck Knife'

No need for all of that, haven’t you seen the dodo or schempp bowie? 😆

I own a lot of both brands. Both American companies both make outstanding knives.
I see my beloved Buck knives more geared for Hunting where as Spyderco is my go to rapid self defense stop a threat when my gun runs out of bullets. 😂
