I came across this image and thought it looked like almost looked like an HI version of one of these:

Except, the HI version would also be at least a 1/2" thick. :D

I'm sure the kamis would make it indestructable and lightweight...

...not more than 3 lbs on average.

that guy bought one of my videos and they put HIM on TV?
life can suck.
anyway, those are Ed Green senban he is using. Ed Green made those from antiques I studied here in Japan. you can order them from Ed at budoweapons.com

if you want to make them yourself, email me for the dimensions

I used to spend hours as a teen throwing them at an old stump. I'd tack up a wildlife picture as a target and have a great time improving my aim. I probably wasn't using correct form, but I was very accurate after awhile.

We then started throwing 4" skill saw blades.. but they cut the fingers too much as they passed through. But Man they bit DEEP when they hit a tree---always amazed me because they are fairly thick on the edges..

It must take some real skill to throw those without cutting a finger off in the process

I never threw these things as a youngster; but, I started a few weeks ago and it looks like alot of fun. It seems about as easy to stick and target as darts (as least for me - I am a lousy dart player:D); but, the variety of throwing stars is much more colorful.

I can almost see that HI throwing star; the thing would run about 5 inches across, with a max crossection of 3/8" and beautifully sculpted points. With that kind of weight they would stick solid and require a pry bar to pull lose.

Ok. So here's the question that was bound to come up.....:

So will HI make them? Cause I will definetely buy one...assuming the weight can be kept to under 2 lbs;) :D

Maybe they should have a cut out in the middle that fits most pry bars?;)

Ok, so who's carving the prototype?
