Like i said im new here and im kinda wondering about something.
I have recently bought a lot of knives from an auction and im trying to identify them for my collection, no this is not a question of price or value.
I'm just curious if there is anywhere and anyway there is someone who can help me identify what i've bought, i now for example that there are some Sven-Erik Lood knives which is always nice!
But then there are some that looks kinda military and a dagger that looks like it might be silver?

Anyways, do any of you have any tips for me?

I have pics ofc if anyone is curious :)

Going to get them on Thursday from the auction firm 😊😊😊

Welcome.
A bit of advice, a gold membership will be to your advantage. Easier to post pictures, ask price of knives and be more involved in forum.

You will definitely need pics to receive helpful responses.

Enjoy the experience here.

Thank you very much!

Someone really liked Nordic knives, lots of puukkos, and other Swedish knives in there. I see an old Swedish Army Bahco knife, 2nd right bottom, the blue one is a large game gutting knife, there's an AK47 bayonet, a Muela of Spain fixed blade 2nd, upper right. Solingen throwing knife, last bottom row, left most. 1980's survival knife in the middle.

The silver dagger looks to be a decorator sword. The other dagger might be European - Spain or Italy, or maybe South American.

Well I’ll be…
Thank you so much! I’m going to take better pics when j get them ofc, I’d love to identify each one of them as good as possible!

A lot of nordics, then again I live in Sweden haha 😊
Actually live in the same village where Sven-Erik lood lived, he made some nice Nordic knifes of which I have maybe 3-4 of, everyone has them here since he sold them cheap to his friends.

So I've been googling and oogling and so far it seems like I've made a good buy!
Can't wait to get my hands on them this thursday so I can really have a look and categorise them and learn more about them!

Those daggers really have my mind running rampant, it's not easy though to do research when the item itself isn't in your grasp.
That makes me respect the hell out of you who manage anyway!

Did however find the maker of two of the knives, finnish made, horse heads on the handles, brass. interesting as hell!
I believe they are made by Iisakki Järvenpää

Quite possibly Jarvenpaa; but numerous other Finnish makers also produced horsehead puukko. Many times you will find them signed in the fuller.
I suspect one is Norwegian - the black one with the silver colored scabbard throat. The Swedish ones maybe by several different makers (5-6 possibilities); many might have laminated blades.

Do you mean the third from the left middle row?

Like I said, it’s amazing that you can tell by just blurry pics haha
