So...Is the Custom 112 thing going to happen? Even Likely?????

Howdy! I know that the thread kinda went away, and I wanted to ask the question again. I have a 112 with a BG-42 blade, and it is the BOMB! I like it much better than even the Buck/Strider knives. I, however, don't want to risk using it hard if there is even a REMOTE possibility that the blade could get ruined and not be able to get a new one. I dream of getting a beautiful 112 with Nickel Silver bolsters and perhaps jigged buffalo scales with the BG blade. Ahh...to dream a little dream!
So, what's the hubbub bub?

Sincerely,
Anthony

I've said it a million times, the 112 Ranger is the most beautiful knife ever made. Being able to get one customized to your own specs would be even better. fish

I think the 112 is the best design Buck has ever had. If the custom shop 112 becomes a reality, I'll be picking one up.

I love my Buck Ranger, and I too think it is the best-looking member of the Buck family. I already have a beautiful custom 110 with a BG-42 blade and stag scales, and I would jump at the chance to have a custom 112.

HMMMM.......Since the 112 is a long standing model in the Buck line up
and...........Buck has already made a special run of Bg42 blades for them
and...........Buck has already made the 112 in nickle silver ( I have two)
all that is left is the scales. This leads to the question ..........

Why can't Buck make a once a year or so ( got to watch inventories you
know) run of 112's in a couple of different (or three) scale choices with
both brass and nickle silver bolsters with either a Bg42 blade or a standard
blade for us 112 fans. Sure it wouldn't be a custom shoppe job ( It's doubtful
the market would support long term yearly custom production) but it would
offer a great little knife in enough variety to satisfy the die hard 112 fans.

( The 112 is one of those knives that once you hold/use one it's ....gotcha!) :D :D

Joe & C.J. how 'bout it????????? This could be a small business builder for Buck.

That'd do the trick for me!

The latest i heard is that Sarah Buck, she is in charge of the Custom Shop, will be checking out handle options at the next Blade show. There are several models that may end up in the custom shop... and i hate to say it this way but...Eventually.

Is their a possibility of a 303 or 301 ever showing up in the custom shop?! I would prefer the 303 if it came down to a one or the other choice.

Joe, I'm sure we all appreciate your efforts and all those of the people at Buck to get this thing happening. I'm just trying to keep this a "front-burner" issue! Anyhoo, thanks again!

Sincerely,
Anthony
