So is the Lionspy still a dud?

I have been eyeing a lionspy since they came out, but mixed reviews stopped me from pulling the trigger, I recently found one for a good price and I'm wondering if they still have all the problems. Are they worth having? Let me know if you got a recent one or had a good experience.

what problems did they have? the design does not appeal to me in the slightest, so I guess I never followed it.

As far as i know there aren't any recurring problems, I've had my eye on it for a while, but for $300 there are many other good options that keeping jumping ahead of it on my wish list. What problems are you referring to ?

They had some major fit and finish issues from what I heard from multiple people. I was wondering if the more recent ones have been perfect.

I have an orange/black SR1A that is flawless in appearance and function. I really like it...great blade shape and comfortable in the hand. Will be selling it along with other knives, though, as I don't use any of them often enough to keep them.

I don't think it was ever a "dud". I recall some indicated they had f&f problems when it was first released, but I don't know how valid any of that was.

At any rate, I got one shortly after its release and the f&f was great/perfect.

Not an inexpensive knife, but I'm a spydie junky and had been pondering a Lion, so it was pretty much a no-brainier for me.

Mine is perfect. But it's the only one i have ever handled. VERY stout lock bar.

Careful about your rationale for thinning the herd, 91a2jet... If we all used the 'get rid of them because we don't use them enough to justify keeping them' test, we'd have one or two knives each. Most of the knife companies would go under, too. Gasp!

This is a loaded question like, "Have you quit beating your wife?" or "Have you stopped passing wind in the bathtub and snapping at the bubbles?" leaving no room for argument about the premise the condition actually existed to begin with. Soooo . . . . . . . what problems? And proof they existed?
