...and I just pulled the trigger on my first Becker. :thumbup::D:thumbup:

BK9 is on it's way. Now I won't sleep for days until it gets here. I hate waiting...:(

I have been wanting the 9 for some time now. So after extensive (read obsessive) research I decided that the 7 was probably far more practical for me.

Then I went and ordered a 9 anyway... LOL... I have finally learnt to get what I originally set out to get!
 
Seriously I just ordered a bunch of knives tonight and I now have to wait. Why can't we have instant delivery and why are most knife dealers not down the street... Louisiana and Idaho like are you serious?
 
The best is when you order them drunk then are suddenly surprised by a present from yourself a couple weeks later. I ruined a drunk present to myself by checking my email and seeing a message from Amazon that my new Vic Pioneer had just shipped. Thanks Johnny Walker!

Wait, you have to order your production knives? Man, that sucks! I get mine from right across the river, just go and fondle them and play with them and then I get to take the pretty home with me.

Course not everyone has a premier knife store 18 minutes from their house, so I guess I'm kind of lucky that way.

Congrats on the Niner... I got mine sitting here next to me, with his li'l brother and sister Sven the Seven and Phyllis the Five.
 
Congrats man.... It'll be worth the wait... My first was a 7 (sold) which is a great multipurpose, but the nine is fine...

Yeah it is the worst. No where by me really stocks anything good. Well not anywhere I can find at least.
 
Congrats, and I also enjoy drunk buy surprises sometimes (except for that time that I ended up ordering another item I already ordered)
 
I'm right there with ya. If someone composed a pie chart of my knife purchases, the slice from midnight to about 3:00am would be the largest by a long shot hahaha!
 
Nice, the 9 is king for a reason. You'll love the purchase, even if it was a late-night implulse buy.

I have a store around here that has some of the beckers, and some other awesome knives. Only problem, is they are a family owned place, so their beckers are like 120-130-140. Haha. But I would like to buy from them when I can afford it, because they are a family business. Not a small one, but a family business:D They know me as the guy that comes in and tells them about their steel:) I

LOL... That thread and Youtube reviews got me through the night! I'm just about all drooled out for now though.



Full disclosure: I also have a beginner's set of Flexcut Carving Tools on the way about which I am equally excited. I think my head is going to explode.

You've got to love the "After-Christmas-now-I-can-get-what-I-really-wanted" shopping experience! :D
 
congrats on the 9.. 2 nights ago i used it to chop some small branches for a new firepit we just got... we lit a small fire in the backyard and roasted some marshmellows. my 4 yr old girl loved it. as we were sitting around the fire there were a bunch of fruit bats that were flying right above us... it was a good time. the more i use the 9, the more i love it... use it well.
