So I've been carrying my first neck knife / necker in the Emerson La Griffe

And I really like it. I have never neck carried anything before. I was a little bit skeptical at first and almost did not go this route. I have been wearing it whenever I am out of the house (other than at the gym) for two months now. Much of the time I 'forget' that it is there. It is also very easy and intuitive to draw quickly and safely (another thing I was a little apprehensive about before purchasing). I am 6'00" tall and the chain that the knife came with seems to be the perfect length/size.

I mostly purchased this knife because I am back in school and on college campuses in GA guns as well as knives with a blade >2" long are illegal (freaking retarded, but whatever). I had been carrying my CQC-8 anyway, but since it is a felony and I now work for the university, including interactions with security and the campus police, I decided to keep it legal. The La Griffe seems to be the most 'armed' I can be, as an absolute last ditch option, given the restrictions.

I obviously don't have any similar knives to compare to but I give the La Griffe a big thumbs up. If it sounds like something you are looking for I don't think you will be disappointed.

And just becsaue everybody likes pictures, here it is with the rest of my EDC

Yep, the LaGriffe is a nice knife. I don't know of a more cappable fixed blade in that size range. The sheath is pretty nice that it comes with too.
The one thing I didn't care for when I had one was how the ball chain made that noise by rubbing the holes when I turned my neck. Sorta makes you sound like you have a robotic/mechanical spine. I'm sure that can be remidied with some imagination though.

I had never even heard of neck carry before I got on bladeforums. I've probably been neck carrying my Izula for close to two years now and it might be my most important and trusted piece of edc gear I too can barely tell I'm wearing it and a few times lately I've forgotten to take it off before bed.

I've been wearing my La Griffe daily for a couple of years now and it is one handy little blade. I too forget it's there, but I am always happy when I need it and instinctively reach for it and there it is! It ain't pretty any more but it is useful.
