I pull a TV tray over in front of the couch, pull out the old (and I mean OLD) Hiram A. Smith sharpening kit, and go to work. Before I knew it, I had a Griptilian and American Lawman next to the Kershaw and was touching those up as well.
I think it hit me last night that one of the great things about knives is that sharpening them can almost be meditative. For me, there were no bills to worry about, no thoughts of the inventory we had at work today, no family issues, nothing....just the blade and the stone. Nothing else mattered, just putting a good edge on the blade. I couldn't even tell you what was on TV, even though it was on right in front of me.
