So much better

I have noticed the site being slower as well. Will barely load at all on my phone.

Yes, it has especially become hard to edit a post. It takes over a minute for the edit screen to load sometimes. In Internet time that's half an eternity.

Probably apps for phones to eliminate the ads too but if you're using a computer download Chrome or Firefox and then install the add on Adblock plus. I see VERY few ads anywhere I go on the net and NONE here.

How cool.
Thank for the notice Esav. Id have seen it if the page would load, LoL.
All said, Im only a daily member at this site and plan to keep it that way. I am sure most feel that this place is top notch when it comes to a community.
Thank you.

What the heck can we do to get rid of them?

Number one is DONT CLICK THEM! The businesses are paying to advertise and expect to get added income from them, when you click an add they know exactly where that add was and if no one ever visits their page from bladeforums they won't want to pay to advertise on bladeforum anymore. Make sure you don't click on any one of them. Even if you want to go to their site find it threw google.

We as bladeforum users need to show them they're wasting their money here so they'll leave us alone.

Thanks a lot, guys, [/sarcasm] if we all could get the advertisers to quit Bladeforums, where will Spark get the revenue to run the place?

Anyway, the ads aren't generated the way you think, so click or not, the system will show them. Coming up with ways to avoid them is spitting in Spark's face for trying to keep BFC going.

In that case, I would expect nothing less of you in particular to pony up immediately for the pirate membership, pay 3 years at a pop and save a few bucks if you want. Tick-Tock....waiting on you.
