i swear they're slowing down the site..
He's going to try to get the ads shut down today.
What the heck can we do to get rid of them?
Spark has been writing about this in Tech Support: Testing Banner Ads - it's not a bug, it's me screwing things up. His latest post is at #134: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...me-screwing-things-up?p=13078034#post13078034

Thanks a lot, guys, [/sarcasm] if we all could get the advertisers to quit Bladeforums, where will Spark get the revenue to run the place?
Anyway, the ads aren't generated the way you think, so click or not, the system will show them. Coming up with ways to avoid them is spitting in Spark's face for trying to keep BFC going.
Number one is DONT CLICK THEM! The businesses are paying to advertise and expect to get added income from them, when you click an add they know exactly where that add was and if no one ever visits their page from bladeforums they won't want to pay to advertise on bladeforum anymore. Make sure you don't click on any one of them. Even if you want to go to their site find it threw google.
We as bladeforum users need to show them they're wasting their money here so they'll leave us alone.
